3.6.8 Public Safe ty/Health S afety Ambassador Program (Revised: 11/7/22 )
A. The SSD strives to assist the UCSF Police Department in provid ing a crime -free and safe
environment through the highest level of professional service, integrity, respect and
customer service.
B. The mission of the S SD is to provide a safe and crime -free environment at assigned
facilities for all those using or visiting t he facility .
C. A public safety or health safety ambassador ’s scope of authority is limited to UCSF
properties and contracted locations . Public safety and health safety ambassadors are not
peace officers and are governed by the same laws as private citizens.
