University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 3.5 Allocation and Distribution of Personnel and Personnel Alternatives: Sworn Specialized and Career Enhancement Assignments 3.5.4 Selection Procedure (Issued: 6/25/07) Appointment of personnel to specialized assignments will be made by the supervisor/manager responsible for that division. Each qualified candidate will be considered according to the identified selection criteria and the results of tests and/or interviews given during the competitive process. The person appointed may no t necessarily be the one with the highest numerical score, but rather the person determined to be most qualified for the particular assignment.
