2.5 Planning and Research: Functions
2.5.3 Multi -Year Planning (Issued: 6/30/07)
The Police Department prepares and annually updates multi -year financial and operations plans,
in accordance with guidelines established by the UCSF Budget and Resource Department.
Mission, goals and objectives are reviewed and set annually as a part of the budget process and
include consideration of:
A. University goals and objectives,
B. Campus survey results,
C. Anticipated service demands and service area s ize, population, and demographics,
D. Projected staffing levels and allocation of personnel resources,
E. Anticipated capital improvements and equipment needs, and
F. Operational efficiency and effectiveness.
