PS116.1.1 ACCREDITATION STANDARDS This p rocedure pertains to the following CALEA Standards: 33.4.1 This procedure pertains to the following General Orders: §208, §436 PS116.2 WEAPONS AND ENFORCEMENT Upon the completion of the hiring process, Police Recrui ts may be assigned to civilian positions within the agency prior to the attendance of a P.O.S.T. basic academy. Police Recruits temporarily assigned to either of the two bureaus listed below are not considered Peace Officers, therefore, shall not carry a weapon, enforce laws or make arr ests until the y successful complete a structured basic training academy. a) Administrative Services Bureau ; b) Community Policing Bureau
