CATEGORY DATE ADOPTED LAST REVIEW 2 01/24/2011 07/30/24 TUSTIN POLICE DEPARTMENT STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES AD102 - General Management 1 AD102 GENERAL MANAGEMENT AD102 .1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE This procedure establishes guidelines for managing the department’s administrative reporting program. The reports identified in this section provide information concerning the department’s day-to-day operations and provide a mechanism to report activities occurring outside the immediate structure of the depart ment. AD102 .1.1 ACCREDITATION STANDARDS This procedure pertains to the following CALEA standards: 11.4.1 , 11.4.2, 11.4.3 , 15.1.3, 43.1.3, 45.1.1, 45.2.2 , 45.2.4, 46.1.8, 46.1.9, 52.1.5, 55.1.2 This procedure pertains to the following General Orders: N/A AD102 .2 REPORT AND ACTIVITY MANAGEMENT The department utilizes the PowerDMS management system to track periodic reports, reviews, and activities mandated by applicable CALEA standards. The system is managed by the Accreditation Manager. Additional administrative reports and reviews are prepared at the direction of the Chief of Police, or their designee. Within each section, the assigned supervisor shall complete the administrative report(s) the department requires to record and track activity with in their respective area of responsibility. For purposes of this procedure, administrative reports include, daily, weekly, twice monthly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Each report shall be routed to the appropriate recipient through the chain of command. The Accreditation Manager will coordinate a review of the report(s) for content and to ensure they meet CALEA and organizational standards. If a report fails to meet standards, the Accreditation Manager will send the report back to the originato r with a note explaining the deficiency.
