To accomplish this goal, a Sergeant heads each watch. 444.1.1 ACCREDITATION STANDARDS This section pertains to the following CALEA Standards: 11.3.1 444.2 DESIGNATION AS ACTING WATCH COMMANDER A Sergeant shall be designated as the Watch Commande r. This policy does not preclude designating Senior Officers /Field Training Officers /Master Officers as an acting field supervisor and/or Watch Commander when operational needs require, or training permits .
