Tehama County Sheriff's Office Tehama County SO Policy Manual SHERIFF'S PREFACE To all employees of the Tehama County Sheriff's Office, This policy manual represents the next step in our commitment to modernize and professionalize the way we as an office provide guidance and additional resources to our deputies, corrections officers, and support staff. A great deal of effort and expense has gone into the creation of this document, and it shows how seriously we take this issue. It is our firm expectation that every employee of the Sheriff's Office reads and understands this manual. We will do all that we can to keep this document current, provide you the most modern guidance regarding changing statutes and regulations, case law, and best practices. We are also committed to listening to your recommendations, suggestions, and concerns regarding, not only this version, but future versions of the policy manual. Thank you to all those who have made this manual a reality, and thank you to all of those who will expend the time and effort to read, understand, and make improvements to it.
