I. PURPOSE:
This directive establishes policies and procedures governing the seizure of items being used to
further felonious activity and the initiation of forfeiture proceedings against such items. Personnel
shall receive training as required by the FCFA, in regards to forfeiture search and seizure, and
other constitutional requirements. Members of the department will familiarize themselves with the
FCFA, Chapter 932 of the Florida State Statutes.
