To achieve this delicate balance, Lexipol and the policies it contains provide a basic framework for proper conduct and behavior. The policies contained within are derived from law and case law at federal, state, and local government levels. Lexip ol policies foster accountability and provide protection for the Department and you. For this reason you must not only understand but both follow and implement the policies. As a living document, this manual will undergo constant change to keep the Department, you and your actions in compliance with new laws, case law, community expectations, departmental changes and the current professional standards.
