10269.1 PURPOSE
In an effort to make our facility safe and secure for all employees the following guidelines shall be
followed when issuing temporary building passes. The new building passes will be prominently
displayed while on the grounds and provide an additional means to identify authorized individuals
in the building.
10269.2 GUIDELINES
•All visitors (including City employees) and/or vendors who are seeking access to any
secured portion of the facility, regardless of whether they will be escorted by PD
Personnel, shall be registered and issued a pass at the Front Desk, CDC, Training,
Investigations Front Desk, or Station Supervisor (after hours)
oThese areas shall maintain a visitor access log which shall records the date,
time, visitor’s name, and purpose of admittance to the building
•Visitors will be asked to surrender a valid photo ID in exchange for a visitor pass
•Visitor passes are to be issued according to purpose (i.e. Maintenance, Training,
Visitor, Investigations)
•All visitors must wear/display the pass in full view while on the grounds of the facility
•Each section is responsible for keeping track of their issued passes. If a visitor pass is
lost, you must notify the CDC Supervisor immediately. Please contact CDC Supervisor
if additional passes are needed
•A revised list of pass issuance will be issued to each section when changes are made.
Please replace this sheet with the revised version each time
