Roll Call Training Bulletin Produced b y: Sergeant Clayton Buchanan , PSU Daniel Hahn , Chief of Police Prepared by: Officer Jeff Kuhlmann , PSU Volume 98 RMS 8.1 Upgrade 7-16-21 The Sacramento Police Department will be upgrading our RMS system to a new version on July 20th, 2021 , starting at approximately 0400 h ours and will take approximately 12 hours to complete . During this time users will not be able to access RMS. All reports must be submit ted to the MRE approval queue prior to 0400 h ours on July 20th or they will have to be held until the upgrade is complete. Users will not be able to book property via Versadex during this time. The Evidenc e and P roperty section will supply hard copy book ing forms to use while RMS is being upgraded. Affected will be MDT queries and CLETS/NCIC transactions. Public Safety IT hopes to get CLETS/NCIC back up and running within the first couple of hours. Publ ic Safe ty IT will advise when CLETS/NCIC is back online Below are links to a PowerPoint presentation which walk s the user through how to use RMS 8.1 as well as release notes provided by Versaterm. Highlights Browse Screen Layout and User Interfac e Changes Numer ous user interface changes have been made to enhance the user experience highlighted in the screen shots below to include the ability to change the color theme and adjusting the font size on the screen. Double clicking on a record from the list will take y ou to that record. There is now a back button that allows the user to go back to the previous page within the RMS. Users have access to hotli nk to query an address. When viewing any record in RMS that has an associated address , the address is now hot linked so you can click the link to que ry the address.
