E-Cite Update , 2024

On January 1, 2024, Electronic Citations will move to a new format approved by the California Judicial Council.
There will be changes to the Brazos App and the printed citation . SPD personnel will need to SYNC the
Brazos E-cite App on their phones any time after 0001 hours on January 1, 2024 , for the updates . The SYNC
button can be found in the top right corner of the app. Follow the prompts to complete the sync prior to log in.
CHANGES TO THE BRAZOS APPLICATION:
REASON FOR STOP has been added to the
LOCATION TAB -This is a Mandatory field for all citations.
-This should match the REASON FOR STOP
ENTRY on your RIPA entry

Location has been moved to the
top of t he citation to make it more
visible to the violator.
CELL PHONE and EMAIL fields
are visible on the violator copy
The new TR -130 Revision date for
Jan 1, 2024 will appear on citation
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO has been revised to assist
violators in what steps to take after being issued a citation.
