CAUTION TAG
The purpose of this order is to d escribe the procedures used to complete this form.
I. Usage
A. The Caution Tag is to be used to alert property officers or lab technicians
that the contents may be harmful to the person handlin g the package.
B. Harmful pertains to such thi ngs as broken glass, matches, ga soline,
explosives, knives, etc.
C. The officer booking such mater ial that could be potentially dangerous to
others handling the pack age shall attach a CAUTION! label to the
evidence. The type of material packaged shall be checked off on the front
of the label. Below is a sample o f the label (the actual label is a bright
reflective red color)
