Correctional Services Page 1 of 1 6/02.0 (Rev 4/16) Work Release-Collections Administrative Fees The purpose of this Order is to establish policy and guidelines for collection of administrative fees. I. General Pursuant to Penal Code 4024.2 and S. C.C. 2.90.310, respectively , an administrative fee is charged to each program applican t prior to receiving a site or financial interview. At the court, the applicant is prov ided an information sheet advis ing of the fee amounts and the pre-interview payment requirement. II. Administrative Fee Collection A. Applicants reporting to the Wo rk Release Facility will be di rected to the cashier for payment of the administrative fee. B. After verification of a valid Work Project or Home Detention referral, the administrative fee will be colle cted, an account opened and a r eceipt issued in accordance with the M anual Cash Handling Operations O rder (6/08.0). C. The applicant will then be dire cted to an interview for proc essing to determine their suitab ility for the program. III. Inability to Pay Guidelines A. An inability to pay the administrative fee shall not prohibi t participation in any of the Work Release Programs. B. An applicant who reports to the Work Release Facility, who s tates they are financially unable to pay the admin istration fee will be grante d a site and financial interview. The Collecti on Services Agent will determ ine their actual ability based on the guidel ines in Operations Order 6/03 .0, Determination of Ability to Pay.
