Correctional Services Page 1 of 1 3/03.0 (Rev 5/16) Work Release OPERATIONS ORDER High Profile Participants The purpose of this Order is to i dentify the need for special h andling of certain high profile participants, and provisions for doing so. I. Definition A. A participant is considered “high profile” by reason of thei r profession, crime, relationships, or protecti ve custody status. These cond itions should remain confidential or as nearly so as the staff can arrange. Examples of “high profile” participants are: 1. Officers or family of officers 2. Government officials 3. Police informers 4. Any member of the criminal justice system 5. Persons whose crimes receiv ed an unusual amount of publicit y 6. Members of the clergy 7. Public figures 8. Notable business leaders II. Special Handling A. Every participant’s safety is the responsibil ity of the staf f. Special circumstances surrounding a parti cular participant call for spe cial handling to ensure their safety. Staff members shall: 1. Counsel such persons against d iscussing anything personal wi th other participants. 2. Refrain from discussing such persons within hearing of other participants. III. Identified after Incarceration A. If a participant is identified as “high profile” after incar ceration, the following notification shall be made: 1. Field Supervisor 2. Assistant Commander 3. Division Commander
