I. General The purpose of this Order is to p rovide guidelines for counts, roll calls and conduct at Work Project sites. Officers must limit contact wit h participants, and the general public as well, to maintain security. A. Roll Call Count 1. Each site officer will conduct a roll call by name at least three (3) times a day: a. First roll call at 0745 hours. b. Second roll call at beginning of lunch break. c. Third roll call at 1400 hours. B. Additional Roll Call Count 1. A roll call count shall be c onducted at any time if the site officer believes an assigned participant i s missing from the site durin g regular hours of operation. C. Numerical Count 1. The site officer will conduct a numerical count at each work site at least once per day. D. Public Contact 1. Officers should not allow pro longed contact or conversation between the general public and par ticipants who are working wit hin the program. Participants will not be allow ed to patronize any fixed busi ness establishment while in custody. 4. Contact with the public and the on-site liaison person(s) sh ould be maintained by officers in a po lite and professional manner at a ll times.
