OPERATIONS ORDER
Work Project Field Supervisor Notification
The purpose of this Operations Or der is to establish specific r equirements for
notification of the Field Super visor in the event of emergency situations or unusual
occurrences. I. General
Any situation so defined as to fit the purpose of this Order sh all be handled in the
following manner.
II. Immediate Notification
A. The Work Project Field Supervi sor shall be advised immediate ly in the
event of the following:
1. Any medical emergency which r equires the response of medical
emergency personnel.
2. Any major disturbance which requires the immediate response of
additional law enfor cement personnel.
III. Notification Prior to Event
A. The Work Project Field Supervi sor shall be advised prior to the following
events occurring:
1. Any change of work site. 2. Any departure from work site location prior to scheduled departure
time.
IV. Notification as Soon as Practical
A. The Work Project Field Supervi sor shall be advised as soon a s practical
when:
1. Any misunderstanding between the site officer and citizen li aison
which may result in a disruption in the working relationship be tween
the community and Sh eriff’s Department.

Work Release 2. Any unusual conflicts or contac ts with Sheriff’s Work Projec t
participants; thereby affording t he supervisor the opportunity to
assess the situation and dete rmine potential danger to staff an d
inmates.
3. Any complaints from citizens regarding the Sheriff’s Work Pr oject
Program.
4. Any vehicle collisions.
V. Means of Notification
A. This notification will be m ade directly to supervisor by tel ephone, radio or
in person, followed by any required documentation.
