Work Release
OPERATIONS ORDER
Work Release Divisi on Radio Process
The purpose of this Order is to e stablish a process for use of portable radios assigned
to the Work Release Division I. Portable Radio Assignments
All sworn personnel assigned to t he Work Release Division will be issued a portable
radio and personal charger by Asset Management. II. Exceptions
The only exceptions to this iss uance are those on-call deputies who are not assigned to
work at least one shift during a pay period. A portable radio will be assigned to those
deputies for the shift they are working. The radio will be ret urned to the division at the
completion of their assignment.
III. Radio Mode Monitoring
A. All field personnel shall moni tor the main SSD radio mode fo r the
geographic area in which they are working:
1. Radio Mode 1 – North
2. Radio Mode 3 - South
IV. Radio Call-Sign Components
A. Work Release Divis ion Radio call-signs will be composed of t he alpha
designation “William” followed by numerical sequences:
1. 100 – Administration 2. 200 – Home Detention Program 3. 300 – Work Project Program

V. Radio Call-Sign Assignments
A. Work Release personnel will be assigned a radio call-sign as shown in the
following examples:
1. William 100 – Division Commander 2. William 101 - Executive Lieutenant 3. William 102 – Admi nistrative Sergeant
4. William 110 – Base Station 5. William 200-201 – Home Detention Supervisors
6. William 202-299 – Home D etention Field Personnel
7. William 300-301 – Work Pro ject Program Supervisors
8. William 302-399 – Work P roject Field Personnel
