OPERATIONS ORDER
Pest Control
The purpose of this Order is to standardize the policy regardin g pest control, in order to
maintain a pest free environment at the Main Jail and at the Rio Cosumnes
Correctional Center (RCCC).
I. Fiscal
A. The Fiscal Officer of the faci lity will maintain a file with the current copy of
the pest control contract. The f ile may also contain a map of t he facility
showing information regarding:
1. The locations of rodent and insect bait. 2. The areas to be treated with appropriate pesticides.
3. The areas where no pest icides are to be used.
B. The periodicity of pesticide treatment will be determined by th e t e rms o f
the pest control contract, the fiscal office, and the needs of the facility.
C. Any time an elevator shaft needs to be treated with pesticid es, a
Sacramento County aut horized elevator mec hanic will be present.
