7/06 (REV 1/89) Use Of Films The purpose of this General Order i s to establish a process for the review of films for policy conflicts prior to use by personnel of this Department. I. Procedures A. All films, other than films wh ich are community service-orie nted or films relating to training activities , shall be reviewed by the emplo yee’s division commander prior to the use of the film. 1. Films relating to training acti vities shall be reviewed by t he Bureau of Training and Reserve Forces commander prior to the use of such films. 2. Films of a community service nature shall be reviewed by the Community Resources Bureau pr ior to the use of the film. B. The review process for all f ilms shall be in writing with th e reviewer stipulating that the film has been approved/not approved for us e. C. Any film which conflicts wit h existing departm ental policy s hall not be used. If the reviewer is uncerta in as to whether a conflict exi sts, the film shall be forwarded with a writt en review to the Chief Deputy of the affected service area for determination. D. The rental and/or purchase cost of films shall be made by th e Division obtaining the film. E. Unreviewed films shall not be used.
