6/06 (REV 3/10) Voyager Credit Card Policy The purpose of this General Order is to provide guidance in the use of County fuel credit cards. I. County Voyager cards are to be used only to purchase fuel an d oil in County vehicles or rental cars on out-o f-county trips, and only in the local area for emergencies or when authorized. II. When credit cards expire, d ivision commanders will be suppl ied with new credit cards for their personnel. A cont rol log listing credit card a ccount and sub- numbers will accompany the card s. The procedure for credit car d control is outlined below: A. The division commander, or hi s/her designee, shall sign for credit cards issued to his/her division. B. Credit cards must remain i n the assigned division. Personne l transferring from a division are required to turn in their cards to their di vision commander prior to transfer. C. Request for replacement of lost or damaged credit cards shal l be made to the Fleet Manager. Damaged cards s hall be turned in for replac ement. A written report of circumstances s urrounding loss of credit card s shall be forwarded without delay to preven t use by unauthorized persons. D. The division commander or his/ her designee shall track the n ame of the employee issued the Voyager card. E. Voyager cards shall never be used to fuel personal vehicles. Employees using their personal vehicle for Department business should fol low the guidelines for submitting a claim.
