Training Page 1 of 1 5/05.0 (REV 3/91) RESUSCIATATOR USE The purpose of this order is to establish the proper use of a r esuscitator by members of the division of Training and Reserve Forces. I. General A. When, in the opinion of a Tra ining Division staff member, it becomes necessary to administer oxygen to anyone at the main training s ite, range, or special training site; e.g., driver’s training facility, etc ., an ambulance shall be called to the scene. B. The ambulance may be request ed to proceed at the code deemed necessary by the staff member a dministering the oxygen. A casua lty report and any applicable OSHA r eports shall be prepared in all cases of injury or illness at the main tr aining site, range, or special training site. C. Any deviation from the poli cy will be allowed only when ther e is a doctor or EMT II on the scene and the docto r or EMT II deems an ambulance unnecessary for the safety of the victim. D. In training events where a pot ential for serious injury exis ts (burns, concussions, bleeding), arrangem ents will be made to have an am bulance crew stand by at the training si te to render immediate aid and transportation to anyone who may be injured.
