INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING
The purpose of this order is to d escribe the administrative pro cedures to be followed for
purposes of instruction planning. I. General
A systematic approach to planning courses is the basis for mean ingful and
successful presentation. In planni ng for a presentation, traini ng staff shall be
responsible for the following:
A. A review of the instructi onal objectives to be met.
B. A review of unit guides or le sson plans to determine methodo logy and
time constraints for each i nstructional unit or class.
C. The grouping of instructional u nits in accordance with time constraints and
the logical progressi on of the material.
D. The scheduling of the program sequentially moving from the s imple to the
complex when possible.
E. The assignment of instructo rs, designation of needed logisti cal support,
and adjustment of the schedule bas ed on available resources.
F. The development and administrat ion of a valid evaluation ins trument at
the completion of each present ation or course and a thorough an alysis of
the information.
G. Any modifications with regard to instructors, course content , or relevance
of the course/presentation wi ll be assessed by training staff i n a timely
manner.
