DAILY INMATE WORKER PICK-UP AND RETURN
The purpose of this order is to d escribe the procedure for the pick-up, transportation,
and return of RCCC inmate workers. I. Receiving
A. Range personnel will take char ge of the assigned inmates eac h morning
in the RCCC booking office. Pri or to departure, the Range staff member
will verify the “off-count” with a RCCC booking officer to ensu re the
inmates taken are properly accounted for.
B. Range staff will be re sponsible for the transportation and s upervision of
inmates from RCCC to the Range and back to RCCC at the end of t he
work day.
1. Inmates who must be returned to RCCC for an appointment must
be supervised from the Range to RCCC and back.
C. In order to ensure an accura te inmate body count, Range staf f shall:
1. Submit an “off-count” list to Honor Side control by 1100 hou rs each
day for purposes of the mid-day count.
2. Physically count the inmates under their control when the co unt is
conducted.
3. Telephone the physical count to the Honor Side control offic er.
II. Return of Inmates
A. At the end of the work day, R ange personnel will physically account for
each inmate received at the beginning of the day. Inmates will then be
transported back to the RCCC booking officer where custody of t he
inmates will revert to RCCC.
B. Inmates will receive a “pat down” search by Range personnel prior to
allowing the inmates to enter the booking office.
