ID Bureau Page 1 of 1 2/23.0 (10/79) WARRANT ARRESTS The purpose of this order is to outline the procedure for Ident ification Section personnel to follow when processing persons who are to be released after voluntarily surrendering themselves on a warrant in the Warrant Section of the Sheriff’s Department. I. Processing Warrant officers shall bring t he person surrendering themselve s on a warrant to the Identification Se ction along with completed arrest and dis position forms. Identification Section personnel shall: A. Place the fingerprint number on the photo stand and take on e photograph of the person. B. Take one set of fingerprints on an SSD fingerprint informat ion card and take one set of fingerprints on an FBI criminal fingerprint c ard. If the offense is a felony, take two se ts of fingerprints on the FBI criminal fingerprint cards. II. Forms Distribution A. Route a copy of the arrest repor t to the Records Section mar ked “Records #1”. B. Attach a copy of the arrest r eport to the disposition form a nd route it to the Detective Division DA Det ail marked “DA Detail #2”. C. Attach a copy of the arrest r eport to the fingerprint cards marked “ID Section #3” and place them in the “arrest to be typed” basket. Route the fingerprint cards to the Records Se ction after typing is comple ted.
