Have the applicant fill out the information sheet. B. Call Records for a prior fingerprint number or any outstand ing warrants. C. Use prior fingerprint number , if available. If not, a new nu mber will be issued by Records personnel. T ake a photograph and one set of fingerprints to send to the Department of Justice. D. Have the applicant sign the sa lmon-colored identification ca rd. E. Have the applicant read and si gn an honorary card. Place the ID card and honorary oath with the application. F. Complete an Inter-Departmen t Correspondence request form for the fingerprint fee and give it to the Technical Services Division commander for signature. When a signature is obtained, the form is given to Fiscal Affairs for their issuance of a warrant. When the warrant is r eceived from Fiscal Affairs, type a 3” x 5” index card for the Records mast er name index file. Complete a fingerprint card and forward it to DOJ with t he County warrant in the required amount. G. Place the application in t he DOJ pending returns basket. H. When information is received fr om DOJ, forward the applicati on to the Sheriff or Undersheriff for approval signature. I. When the application is retur ned with the approval signature , complete the salmon-colored ID card; place a photo on the card and laminate . The ID card will be given to the Sheri ff’s secretary to be mailed wit h a letter of acceptance. J. Type a 3” x 5” index card fo r the ID Section Reserve card fi le. K. All papers are st apled together, initialed, and sent to Reco rds for filing in the personal history folder. I realize that my standing is sti ll that of an ordinary citizen and that I accept full responsibility for my act ions in the community.
