INDEPENDENT STUDY ESSAYS
The purpose of this order is to d escribe the contents and uses of the recruit
independent study essays. I. General
Independent study essays will be assigned periodically during t he course at, or
near, the same time as similar in struction is presented. The es says answer
various performance objectives w hich are not covered during oth er classes.
II. Subjects
A. Subjects may include, but are not limited to:
1. Department orientation 2. Career influences 3. Community services concepts 4. Community attitudes and influences 5. Perception/observation techniques 6. Handling animals 7. Criminal statutes
III. Completion
A. Failure to complete the essays satisfactorily may affect a s tudent’s
academic standing and result in expulsion from the basic course .
