Training Page 1 of 1 2/11.2 (REV 3/91) TRACKING RECRUIT PERFORMANCE The purpose of this order is to describe the procedures for dev elopment and maintenance of a tracking proces s for recruit performance durin g the basic recruit academy. I. Academic Testing A. A computerized tracking system, POSTRAC , is used to itemize recruit academy performance. 1. The tracking system is categor ized by academic “Knowledge Doman” examination number for each recruit. 2. Periodically during the academ y, a summary of academic score s with average percent ages and class standing is produced for sta ff use. B. Individual instruction units which require physical performa nce of skills learned will be tracke d on a pass/fail basis. 1. Instructional units tracked in this manner include firearms, arrest control and baton techniques, driver training, etc. 2. Spelling tests, radi o code quizzes, and arrest control quizz es are tracked via the computer syst em and an average is obtained for staff use. C. Areas which are not academic ally tested or physically demons trated will be assessed using the “Recru it Independent Study” essays.
