Training Page 1 of 1 2/09.2 (REV 3/91) CURRICULUM SCHEDULING The purpose of this order is to d escribe the procedure for sche duling the basic recruit training curriculum. I. General The academic coordinator is r esponsible for the following: A. Reviewing and sequencing the total curriculum. B. Determining the total time r equired for each instructional u nit. C. Determining the lengt h of the training day. D. Determining the number of cla ssroom hours each day as oppose d to range and gym hours. E. Determining the availability of resources at the academy (cl assrooms, gyms, etc.) F. Schedule classes in such a m anner to ensure that prerequisit es for a given class are satisfied prio r to the presentation of that cla ss; e.g., criminal law must be instructed pr ior to classes in criminal in vestigation. G. Posting of the schedule prior to the beginning of the traini ng week.
