Training Page 1 of 1 2/09.1 (REV 3/91) CURRICULUM SEQUENCING The purpose of this order is to describe the concept of sequenc ing the basic recruit training curriculum. I. General Curriculum sequencing is based upon an analysis of course objec tives, unit outlines (lesson plans), the trai ning methodology used, and the POST Knowledge Domain guidelines. A. The interrelationship which in structional units have with ea ch other must be established. B. The basis for curriculum sequencing is provided when the fol lowing determinations are made. 1. Which instructional unit mus t be presented prior to another unit. 2. Which units can be instructed concurrently with other units. 3. Is there a group of units that must be instructed in sequenc e. 4. Where can simulations and fiel d exercises be logically group ed. 5. Where can performance evaluations be sequenced. 6. Where specific blocks of instr uction fall within a specific knowledge domain.
