Training Page 1 of 1 2/09.0 (REV 3/91) CURRICULUM DESIGN The purpose of this order is to d escribe the procedure for impl ementing changes in the design of the basic recruit training curriculum. I. General Academy staff shall be res ponsible for the following: A. Review of evaluations for eac h class presented at the academ y and ascertaining any required c hanges in curriculum design. B. Review of applicabl e legislation and/or POST regulation chan ges. C. Review of other academy trai ning programs for any possible c hanges in curriculum based on new methodology or POST regulations. D. Proposal of changes in curriculu m design will be reviewed by the entire staff and presented to the Traini ng and Reserve Forces commande r and the academy commander. Significan t changes in curriculum design must have the approval of Sheriff’s executive staff. E. Preparing a recommendation for the amount of time which will be allotted for the entire program. 1. Determination of the amount o f time which will be allotted for the entire program will be made by the academy director, subject to the approval of the division and academy commanders. G. Submittal of a course announcement to POST.
