Training Page 1 of 2 2/07.0 (REV 3/91) ACADEMY EXPECTATIONS The purpose of this order is to d escribe the contents, usage, r eview, and distribution of the Academy objectives and expect ations which are contained in the Academy Recruit Handbook. I. Contents The following areas contain specif ic Academy objectives and rec ruit expectations: A. 1.0 – Academics B. 2.0 – Notebooks C. 3.0 – Physical Fitness D. 4.0 – Obstacles Course E. 5.0 – Arrest, Control and Baton Techniques F. 6.0 – Firearms Training G. 7.0 – Report Writing H. 8.0 – Practical Exercise s/Performance Objectives I. 10.0 – Individualized Recruit Training J. 11.0 – Recruit Counseling K. 12.0 – General Academy Performance II. Purpose This manual delineat es the requirements for successful complet ion of the basic training program by each recr uit in the aforementioned areas. Training Page 2 of 2 2/07.0 (REV 3/91) III. Revision A. Academy staff will re view the expectations prior to each aca demy class. B. Revisions/corrections shall be made prior to each academy cl ass and approved through appropriate c hannels of the department prior to implementation. IV. Distribution A. Each recruit shall be issued his/her personal copy of the ac ademy expectations. B. Failure to meet academy expectations may result in expulsion from the program.
