General All staff members will be dresse d in either their duty uniform or physical training clothes, whichever is applicable, whenever an academy class is in session. When classes are not in session, c ivilian attire in conformance with departmental standards is permissible at the di scretion of the academy direc tor. A. The duty uniform will be worn properly; shoes shined, badge shined, etc. An approved weapon shall be worn while in uniform.
