BRIEFING INFORMATION BOARD
The purpose of this order is to e stablish procedures relative t o the Communications
Center briefing information board. I. General
The briefing information board s hall be maintained in a locatio n easily accessible
to all Communication s Center personnel.
A. All personnel shall review t he contents of t he briefing info rmation board in
the Communications Center duri ng the beginning of their watch t o ensure
they are cognizant of all newly issued or revised bulletins and /or orders.
B. The briefing information board shall contain the following i nformation.
Additions and deletions of mater ial shall be the responsibility of the
administrative sergeant or designee.
1. Daily information: This info rmation shall include all new de partment
and allied agency information pertinent to the needs of the Communications Center. After a period of 72 hours, these bullet ins
shall be removed or moved to o ther appropriate sections.
2. Wanted Persons: These bulletins shall include information su ch as
wanted persons, missing persons, and cancellations of same and
their vehicles, as appropriate. Aft er a period of one month, un less
the subject is still wanted, thes e bulletins may be removed.
3. Training Bulletins: These sha ll include new training bulleti ns
received from various sources. These shall be posted for one month.
4. New Orders: These shall inclu de all new department, division , and
bureau orders and shall be posted for one month.
5. Crime Bulletins: These shall include any information release d by
the Media Office or briefing bu lletins of other bureaus. These shall
remain posted until updated or no longer applicable.
