1/05 (rev.08/03) CIVIL DIVISION – ADMINISTR ATIVE SERVICES OFFICER I The purpose of this Operations Or der is to outline the duties a nd responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Civil Division Admi nistrative Service Officer. I. General The Administrative Service Office r I performs administrative s upport for the Civil Division. II. Chain of Command The ASO I reports directly to t he Division Commander or the Re cords Manager. III. Administrative Duties  Provides secretarial support of the Division and specifically the Division Commander, the Records Manager and the Field Supervisor.  Performs compass entries – both fiscal and payroll  Processes payroll for the Divisio n Inventories, purchases and accounts for asset inventory and supplies  Processes accounts payable  Administrative support to the Div ision Commander, Records Mana ger, Records Supervisor, Field Super visor and Accounting Technician.  Prepares the division budget documents  Serves as Civil Div ision point of contact for equipment repair and building maintenance  Answers specific division telephones IV. Technical Knowledge  County “Compass” computer progr am in both fiscal and payroll a nd to have attained privileges therein  M/S Word  M/S Excel  M/S Outlook  M/S Access
