Communications Page 1 of 1 1/03.0 (REV 10/98) WATCH HOURS The purpose of this order is to d escribe the watch hours for pe rsonnel working in the Communications Center. I. General The Communications Center will be staffed at all times. There a re four watches:  Boy Watch (Days) 0600 to 1600 hours  Charles Watch (Late Days) 1100 to 2100 hours  David Watch (Swing) 1530 to 0130 hours  Adam Watch (Graveyard) 2030 to 0630 hours II. Duty Hours A. The bureau commander works day watch. B. Watch supervisors assigned to C ommunications will work one o f the four primary watches, or a relief watch, as necessary. C. SSRs will work one of the four primary watches, or a peak lo ad watch, as necessary. D. Dispatchers will work one of t he four primary watches, or a peak load watch, as necessary. III. Emergency Reassignments A. The watch supervisor or thei r designee has the authority to reassign personnel when emergency or unusual c ircumstances exist in acco rdance with the needs of the department.
