CORRECTIONAL SERVICES Page 1 of 1 1/01 (REV 7/07) MJ/RCCC OPERATIONS ORDER Introduction The purpose of this Order is to provide an introduction to the Operations Orders governing the Main Jail and the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC). I. Organization A. The Correctional Services Oper ations Orders are organized in to twelve (12) chapters with a separate Appen dices section for commonly u sed forms. 1. Each chapter is labeled in t he Table of Contents by area of focus. The operations orders are placed in each chapter according to t heir most closely related subject areas. 2. The orders are numbered accordi ng to chapter and order numbe r. An order numbered “1/02” would refer to the second operations order in Chapter 1. 3. Unless specified otherwise in the body of the order, the ope rations orders will apply to both the Main Jail and RCCC . The facility names will be r epresented in bold lettering wherever they appear. 4. Job specific titles may be in bold lettering when making a distinction between personnel, or when referring to a specific position at each facility, such as Assistant Division Commander . II. Terms A. For the purposes of the oper ations orders, the terms “inmate” ,, “prisoner”, and “arrestee” are to be considered synonymous and interchangeable unless otherwise noted. All the preceding terms will refer to persons who are in custody at the Main Jail and RCCC. B. References to standing laws, regulations, codes, and cases m ay be made in italics to highlight the reference , such as California Penal Code 459 and Title 15, Section 1069.
