414.1 Introduction
It shall be the policy of this agency to utilize the forfeiture provisions established by the Florida
Contraband Forfeiture Act (F.C.F.A.) to the fullest extent possible. By utilizing this procedure, this
agency will be able to have an impact upon crime, yet protect innocent owners, while providing this
department with the maximum amount of economic benefit available. The guidelines which follow are
designed to assist the officers of this department with the procedures necessary to initiate forfeiture
proceedings that result from their investigation of a crime.
