ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE GENERAL ORDER Effective Date: November 6, 2019  Amends - GO 20.1.11 ( October 13, 2016 ) Number: 20.1.11 Distribution: All Personnel Review Month: June Reviewing Authority: Unders heriff / Fiscal Subject: User Fe es for Sheriff’s Services This order consists of the following: 1. Purpose 2. Policy 3. Procedures 1. Purpose The purpose of this policy is to establish user fees to maintain current service levels, reduce the burden on County taxpayers, and avoid subsi dization in instances where the service is not being provided to the general public but rather is for the specific benefit of the person or groups charged. 2. Policy It is the policy of this agency to charge user fees for services rendered as a result of service cost evaluation. 3. Procedures A. Fiscal Management shall update this order annually on or before October 1 to update the user fees for the upcoming fiscal year. B. All agency facilities affected by these user fees will post the fee schedule for citize ns to view. C. Fees which are established by Florida statute will not be included in this order. D. User fees for the current fiscal year shall be posted on the Sheriff’s Office Portal under Fiscal Management/Accounts Payable -Accounts Receivable E. All fees will be in accordance with applicable law.
