Purpose 2. Policy 3. Definitions 4. Procedures 1. Purpose The purpose of this policy is to inform agency personnel of the policing jurisdiction of the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 2. Policy The Sheriff of Orange County provides various law enforcement services to all residents and visitors within Orange County's jurisdictional boundaries. The enforcement of Florida State Statutes and Orange County ordinances are authorized in all of Orange Coun ty unless specifically prohibited by State Statute or Orange County ordinances which may not be applicable within incorporated municipalities. 3. Definitions A. GIS - Geographic Information Systems, a section of Orange County Planning Division. B. Primary Poli cing Jurisdiction - Orange County excluding the incorporated municipalities of Apopka, Belle Isle, Eatonville, Edgewood, Maitland, Oakland, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, Winter Park and Winter Garden, but including the incorporated municipalities of Bay Lake , and Lake Buena Vista. C. Zones - the Sheriff's Office policing jurisdiction is divided into designated patrolling areas called zones. 4. Procedures A. The boundaries of Orange County, Florida are described by FS 7.48. 1. A detailed official map and physical description, including the zone boundaries of the jurisdiction of Orange County, Florida is maintained by th e Geo-Data Unit, Communications Section. 2. Zone Boundaries are as follows: Zone 10 - Commencing at the Southwest corner - From the Lake County line 6.2.0, Page 2 of 8 at the border of Lake Apopka, following the border of Lake Apopka East and South to Lust Rd. East on Lu st Rd to SR 437 (Binion Rd). North along SR 437 to Orange Blossom Tr (US 441), East to Plymouth -Sorrento Rd. North on Plymouth -Sorrento Rd to the Lake County line. From the Lake county line West to Lake Dora Chain. From Lake Dora Chain South along Lake County line to point of beginning. Zone 11 - Commencing at the Northwest corner - From the border of Lake Apopka at Lust Rd East on Lust Rd to SR 437 (Binion Rd). North on SR 437 to Orange Blossom Tr (US 441), Southeast on Orange Blossom Tr to Highland Av. East on Highland Av to Schopke -Lester Rd then North to Lester Rd. East on Lester Rd to Vick Rd, South on Vick Rd to Welch Rd. From Welch Rd East to Deer Lake Cir, and then North along an imaginary line to the Lake County line. Along the Lake County line East to the Seminole County line. From the Seminole County line at the Lake County line South along Line Dr then crossing Orange Blossom Tr (US 441) to a point approximately 1200 feet south of US 441. From this point bear to West crossing Apopka Blv d, continue West and then South along the full length of Vulcan RD and then West along an imaginary line to Lakeville Rd. South on Lakeville Rd to Beggs Rd. From Beggs Rd West along an imaginary line extending from Beggs Rd, joining Gilliam Rd, West to Ap opka - Vineland Rd (SR 435). South on Apopka -Vineland Rd (SR 435) to McCormick Rd. West on McCormick Rd to Lake Apopka, North along the border of Lake Apopka to point of beginning. Zone 12 - Commencing at the Southwest corner - From Crown Point Cross Rd at Hennis Rd West through the city limits of Ocoee to the border of Lake Apopka, then North along the shoreline of Lake Apopka to McCormick Rd. From McCormick Rd at Lake Apopka East to Apopka -Vineland Rd, North on Apopka -Vineland Rd to Gilliam Rd. East on Gilliam Rd along an imaginary line joining Beggs Rd to Lakeville Rd. South on Lakeville Rd to Clarcona - Ocoee Rd. East on Clarcona -Ocoee Rd to Pine Hills Rd. South on Pine Hills Rd to Silver Star Rd. West on Silver Star Rd into the city limits of Ocoee at Lakewood Av. South on Lakewood Av to Franklin St then West along Franklin St to the west side of the Western Beltway, then North along an imaginary line (to include the Western Beltway) to a point in conjunction with Crown Point Cross Rd . West from t his point along Crown Point Cross Rd to the point of beginning at Hennis Rd.
