The purpo se of this Special Order is to add radi o disposition codes for reporting mental
health information whether an officer was dispatched , self-initiated or on-viewed an
incident.
Effective imm ediately, Part VIII, A (chart), shall be revised to include th e following
disposition co des:
CODE DISPOSITION
MH Ment al Health
MHH Mental Health Hold
CIT Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer on Scene
The mental health (MH) and mental health hold (MHH) codes shall be used as the
primary disposition code.
Disposition codes, CIT trained officer on scene (CIT) , medical (MED), ambulance
ordered (AO), and report taken (RT) can be added to the primary code when applicable.
Upon completion o f a mental health related assignment, officers shall provide the
disposition code of MH, MHH, or CIT wh en applicable, as appropriate, to the
Communi cations Sec tion via radio or laptop.
