I. PURPOSE
To define the North Miami Police Department’s seizure and forfeiture policy, and
establish the process through which such action can and should be initiated to
remove the tools of crime from criminal organizations or specific individuals,
deprive wrongdoers of the proceeds of their crime, recover property that may be
used to compensate victims, and deter crime.
