I. SECONDARY/OUTSIDE General Order #30 EMPLOYEMENT Effective: 11/24/2020 CFA 2.10 Revised: 02/13/2024 APPROVED: CHIEF CARLOS NORIEGA POLICY The North Bay Village Police Department shall regulate Secondary/Outside Employment to ensure that all employees do not engage in employment which may reflect negatively on the Department or adversely impact its operations. Sworn and non- sworn members may engage in approved Secondary/Outside Employment, which does not relate to law enforcement or other departmental responsibilities and duties. DEFINITIONS Secondary/Outside Employment – Any outside employment activity other than extra duty employment that is non-police in nature, does not require the exercise of any form of police powers and is not performed during assigned Departmental duty hours.
