Published with permission by Mountain View Police DepartmentSpecial Order 21-02: Suspension of Pursuit Intervention Technique - 1Special Order 21-02: Suspension of Pursuit Intervention Technique 315.1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE This special order has been issued by the Office of the Police Chief to temporarily rescind the use of the Vehicle Pursuit - Pursuit Intervention Technique as defined in policy 314. 315.2 POLICY Effective February 26th, 2021, the vehicle pursuit Pursuit Intervention Technique shall not be utilized by members of this department regardless if the member has recently received POST certified training or has received the training from their previous employing agency. This Special Order will remain in effect until the Vehicle Pursuit policy is updated and certified updated training is provided to members of this department.
