Montclair Police Department Montclair PD Policy Manual INTRODUCTION FROM THE CHIEF OF POLICE We at the Montclair Police Department strive to provide the highest level of service to those who live, work, and visit in the City of Montclair. Our police officers, dispatchers, and professional staff are dedicated to look, act, and be professional in all aspects of their profession. We not only work to disrupt crime in our community, we work with our community to address a multiple issues including quality of life concerns, mental health concerns, traffic and parking issues, civil disputes; all while ensuring our methodology is carried out in an equitable, contemporary, and legal manner. The Montclair Police Department provides the most modern technology, equipment, and training to its members allowing them to best serve the community. We are proud be and serve a diverse populace that adapts to the changing needs of the community. We work closely with other City departments and regional organizations to facilitate the delivery of specialized services to those in need. The City of Montclair's elected officials support and entrust us to provide the safest environment possible in which its residents, visitors, and commerce can thrive. We serve with integrity, honor, courage, and pride. In order to provide the highest level of service possible to the City of Montclair, it is my duty to ensure the members of the Montclair Police Department are valued; not only through words but by my actions. I strive to continually observe, mentor, and listen to the members of this organization so i may make adjustments, keep employee morale elevated, provide wellness programs to employees, and employ every possible means necessary to complete our mission statement of "Commitment to Service."
