I. Uniform Standards [22.2.5] [26.1.1] A. The description and quantity of Department uniforms and accessories authorized for issue to specific classifications will be documented on the Issued Equipment and Attire Form by the Property and Evidence Unit (PEU). All classes of uniforms and accessories must be worn in their entirety. B. Every employee in a sworn classification will have in his/her possession authorized quantities of uniforms and equipment to ensure immediate availability in the event of a required uniformed appearance. C. Uniforms will be clean, pressed, and serviceable when an employee reports for duty. D. T-shirts, if worn, will be black or white to match the uniform being worn and will not be visible below the end of the shirt sleeve. A regular or V- neck T-shirt may be worn. E. Rank Insignia 1. Metal Insignias for the rank of Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police are centered on each collar one-half inch from the forward collar edge and parallel to the top of the collar. 2. Metal Insignias for the ranks of Major, Captain and Lieutenant are centered on each collar one-half inch from and parallel to the forward collar edge. a. Chief of Police - four - connected gold stars. b. Deputy Chief - three connected gold stars. c. Major - gold leaf d. Captain - two connected gold bars e. Lieutenant - one gold bar.
