I. Marine Patrol Unit Responsibilities A. Enforce all criminal laws, Florida Statutes (FS), applicable regulatory laws and ordinances relating to boating and marine safety; B. Assist in investigations of crimes related to vessels; C. Protect the lives and property of residents and visitors utilizing the marinas, waterways and coastal waters of the city; D. Investigate boating accidents; E. Coordinate vessel movement, supervise mooring and regulate marine traffic; F. Enforce the City’s Anchorage Ordinance; G. Investigate hazards to navigation and reporting hazards to the appropriate agency; 7/12/23 H. Assist in the preparation and implementation of ICS planning to include: 1. Distribution of hurricane materials and information; 2. Monitoring and reporting of tidal and flooding information; 3. Acquisition of applicable hurricane supplies; and 4. Evacuation.
