DEFINITIONS:
Grievance - A dispute involving the interpretation or application of the express terms of an
Agreement with a Bargaining Unit. No grievance will be entertained or processed unless it
is submitted within 20 workdays, excluding Saturday, Sunday, or holidays recognized by
the City, after the occurrence of the first event giving rise to the grievance or within 20
workdays after the employee, through the use of reasonable diligence, should have
obtained knowledge of the occurrence of the first event giving rise to the grievance.
