DEFINITIONS: FEDERAL INSECTICIDE, FUNGICIDE, AND RODENTICIDE ACT - The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, as amended (FIFRA), gives the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the statutory authority to regulate pesticides. MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET (MSDS) - Written or electronic material concerning a toxic substance. TOXIC SUBSTANCE - Toxic substance means any chemical substance or mixture in a gaseous, liquid, or solid state, which substance or mixture causes a significant risk to safety or health during, or as a proximate result of, any customary or reasonably foreseeable handling or use; which is listed in the Florida Substance List compiled in accordance with the provisions of SS 442.103; and which is manufactured, produced, used, applied, or stored in the workplace.
