DEFINITIONS: ARREST AFFIDAVIT - The official report used to make an arrest. It establishes the probable cause for arrest. CAREER CRIMINAL - Persons subject to career criminal prosecution efforts. A person who is under arrest for the commission, attempted commission or conspiracy to commit any felony in this state will be the subject of career criminal prosecution efforts provided that such person qualifies as a habitual felony offender, per Chapter 775, Florida Statutes. 6/21/22 CRIME ANALYST - An employee designated to be responsible for the collection, analysis and dissemination of crime information data. CRIME PATTERNS - Trends involving the same type of crime and offenders that take on a definitive direction, tendency or characteristic. FIELD INTERROGATION CARD - A Department report used to collect information on a person. OFFENSE/INCIDENT REPORT - A Department report used as the main source document to report any offense or incident.
